I love to eat. I love to go to new places, try new restaurants and diverse foods. That was something that changed our game the first year that we arrived in Canada. As a multicultural country, we could try food from all over the world: Chinese, Greek, Vietnamese, Korean, etc.
I would love to talk about my experiences trying these fantastic foods, but today I will start with the one and only: Oh Canada!
Being Brazilian, we are constantly reminded of some country's inheritance as our cheese bread or Brazilian barbecue. Still, every time someone asks about food in Canada, we need to think about it. They do have poutine, which I am passionate about it, but what else?
A certain day, my husband was at work, and they come up with the question: So, what is the typical Canadian food?
And, almost as a chorus, every Canadian in the room answered: TIM HORTONS!
How could we not think about that? Of course!
After this long introduction, I decided to share my five favourite things at Tim Hortons and why they are a Canadian treasure!
Boston Cream
Donut: Dream Donut - Dulce de Leche
The dream donut had 3 different flavours: strawberry, chocolate and dulce de leche (definitely my favourite). If you have a sweet tooth, you need to try it.
Cookies
Cinnamon Bun
Bagel with cream cheese
They have many different options of bagels, and I can't decide, so I always go with "Everything." It can't go wrong. Right?
This is my list, and I know that everyone should have a different one. So, here is my invitation to reply to this posts with your top 5.
Now, excuse me, I need to order a medium double-double with a chocolate chunk, please.
